Jack Doohan Biography
Jack Doohan, the son of five-time MotoGP world champion Mick Doohan, began his single-seater career in 2018 in British F4, after a successful karting career, having been gifted his first kart by Michael Schumacher. He finished fifth that year, before moving up to the F3 Asian Championship in 2019, finishing second.
In 2020, Doohan stepped up to F3 with HWA Racelab, but did not score points in his rookie season. In 2021, however, he finished second with Trident, and thus moved on to F2 in 2022, having raced in the final two rounds of 2021.
In 2022, he signed as a member of the Alpine Academy, and finished 6th in the F2 standings, before a third-placed finish in 2023.
He was announced as Alpine’s reserve driver that year, and spent the following year working behind the scenes and went on to secure a full-time drive with the team for 2025 - making his grand prix debut in the 2024 finale after Esteban Ocon was dropped early.
